Terry was born in Springfield, Missouri, and was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 2011. After being admitted, Terry joined a firm in the Kansas City metropolitan area where he was made a named partner within his first year of practice. Terry returned to the Springfield area in the Fall of 2013 where he joined a local firm as an associate. In July of 2014, Terry established the firm Garner Law, where he continues to help clients in the Springfield Metropolitan area and throughout southwest Missouri. Terry has represented clients in a variety of civil litigation and transactional matters, ranging from contested family law cases to multi-million dollar real estate transactions. Terry has also represented debtors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases.
Prior to law school, Terry owned a fiberglass boat repair shop, which he ran from 2004 until he graduated from Missouri State University with his Bachelor’s degree in 2008. During law school, Terry was the Secretary of the Federalist Society from 2009 until 2011 and an associate member of the Missouri Environmental Law and Policy Review. Now he enjoys spending time outdoors with his son, Eric, and his pups, Emily, Callie, and Charlotte.
